If you’re at all familiar with the heavy duty aftermarket, you know that it’s ever-changing. There are always new products, technological improvements, and updated government regulations. Westrans is committed to staying on top of these changes, and sharing that information with our customers. One of the ways we stay up-to-date is to participate in industry associations and events. And in addition to opportunities to learn and network, these industry connections are also a chance to give back, as is the case with the Heavy Duty Aftermarket Council, or HDAC.
Westrans is a long-time member of HDAC, the national trade association representing the Canadian heavy duty aftermarket industry. Since 1984, HDAC (formerly known as the Heavy Duty Distributor Council, or HDDC) has been raising funds for SickKids Foundation. At this year’s HDAC business conference, the HDAC members came together to raise $53,000 for the foundation. On November 8, 2016 the HDAC board members presented that donation to SickKids Foundation.
